It's called The Purr Effect β and the science backs it up.
A science-backed wellness experience that reduces stress, builds real connection, and leaves your team lighter than when they walked in. We come to you β or we bring you to the cats.
π¬ Science fact: Interacting with cats measurably lowers cortisol and raises oxytocin β the exact neurological conditions that enable trust, creativity, and genuine team connection.
People arrive stressed, guarded, half-distracted. Within minutes the energy shifts. The room exhales. People actually talk to each other. Walls come down. That's The Purr Effect β and it doesn't happen by accident.
KJ has spent years studying what makes spaces feel safe and connected β first through cats (who are masters at it), then through community building, then through the S.U.P.U.R.R. framework she developed that now drives everything she teaches.
Add cats β in your office or at a local cat cafe β and you have a wellness experience your HR team, your comms team, and your people will love for completely different reasons.
The science: Research shows that interaction with cats significantly reduces cortisol (stress hormone) and increases oxytocin (connection hormone) β enabling psychological safety, creative thinking, and genuine team trust.
KJ facilitates the SuPURR Workplace experience right in your office. A local rescue organization brings kittens to your space β your team doesn't have to go anywhere. Magic happens in familiar surroundings.
KJ leads your team on an outing to a local cat cafe. Getting people OUT of the office already shifts energy before she even opens her mouth. Add cats, add KJ's facilitation, and you've got a team building experience people actually look forward to.
Developed by KJ McGlinn β born from studying what cats naturally need, and realizing humans desperately need the same things. Turns out cats have been onto something this whole time.
People do their best work when they feel psychologically safe. We create that β intentionally, from the moment the room fills.
Being truly heard changes everything. We build genuine understanding between people β not just awareness, but real connection.
Full presence β not performing, not proving, just being. This is where real leadership and real connection live.
You can't build connection on top of stress. We create space to genuinely unwind β and yes, this is where the cats come in.
Allowing yourself to receive β care, support, kindness, help β is a skill. We practice it together, with a little help from some very willing cats.
Rest isn't laziness β it's strategy. Teams that understand rest are more creative, resilient, and human with each other.
This framework was born from studying what cats naturally do β and realizing humans desperately need the same things. Cats have been onto something this whole time.
45β60 minutes of facilitated wellness content built on the SuPURR framework. Warm, engaging, real. Not a lecture β a conversation that makes people feel seen.
π€ Facilitated by KJ McGlinnKittens come to your office via a local rescue β or your team heads to a cat cafe. Either way, cortisol drops, oxytocin rises, and The Purr Effect begins.
π± Rescue org partnership includedKJ facilitates a closing circle using the SuPURR framework β anchoring what people experienced and turning it into something they carry back to their desks and their lives.
π The part people remember mostEvery participant receives a SuPURR toolkit to take home. Your organization gets the story: you invested in your people AND supported animal welfare.

This is a real group at a real cat cafe β and every single person in this photo is lighter than when they walked in. That's The Purr Effect. That's what KJ creates.
Imagine this being your team. Your people. Your organization's story.
When people feel safe enough to laugh that hard, that freely, with their colleagues β something shifts. Something real gets built. That's not a team building exercise. That's a culture moment.
Bring This to My Team βEvery organization is different β and every SuPURR experience is customized to fit your team, your space, and your goals.
Whether you're thinking about a one-time wellness event, a field trip to a cat cafe, or an ongoing wellness partnership β KJ will work with you to build something your people will actually love. Reach out and let's have a conversation.

On-site or cat cafe β which is better?
Both work beautifully β it really depends on your team and goals. On-site is great for larger groups and keeps logistics simple. The cat cafe outing works magic for smaller teams who need a genuine change of scenery and a reason to get out of the building together. KJ can help you decide on a call.
Do you bring the kittens yourself?
KJ coordinates with a vetted local rescue organization in your area. The kittens are handled by experienced rescue staff β and your organization gets to support local animal welfare at the same time. Win-win-win.
What if someone is allergic or afraid of cats?
The cat therapy portion is always optional β no one is required to participate. The SuPURR framework talk and connection facilitation stand completely on their own and are valuable for everyone regardless.
How many people can this accommodate?
The talk scales to any size. On-site kitten therapy works best for groups up to 100 with participants rotating through in smaller groups. Cat cafe outings work best for 10β25 people. For larger organizations KJ can run multiple sessions.
Is this actually backed by science?
Yes. Multiple peer-reviewed studies support the cortisol-reducing and oxytocin-boosting effects of interacting with cats. The SuPURR framework is grounded in psychological safety research and wellness principles. KJ brings the receipts.
Let's find out if we're the right fit β and build something your people will actually remember.
